EduTalent is supporting a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Islington that is seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to start in Term 4. The school caters for children and young people across both primary and secondary age ranges, operating across two sites, and supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school provides a structured, nurturing environment focused on meeting the individual needs of each learner.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD
  • Teach pupils across primary and secondary age groups, depending on experience and preference
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN/ASD (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • A patient, flexible, and resilient approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
