Part-Time SEN Teacher

  • Location: Dartford
  • SEN school
  • Days: 2-3 days per week (flexible)
  • Rate: £150-£180 per day (depending on experience)
  • Start Date: 3/11/2025

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Dartford, working with pupils with complex needs. This part-time role is based in a Key Stage 2 class that follows the Entry Pathways curriculum, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

About the Role:
  • As an SEN Teacher, you will provide engaging and purposeful cover for planning, preparation, and assessment time
  • You’ll be based in a KS2 Entry Pathways class, supporting pupils with a range of developmental and learning needs
  • There is a real focus on play-based, sensory, and exploratory learning, guided by the principles of the EYFS
  • The school in Dartford is well‑resourced, inclusive, and known for its strong, supportive team
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons rooted in EYFS principles
  • Support a nurturing and inclusive environment as a committed SEN Teacher
  • Work closely with LSAs, therapists, and senior staff to meet individual learning plans
  • Promote communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain a positive, flexible, and child-centred approach as a reliable SEN Teacher
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Framework and play-based learning
  • Previous experience supporting children with complex SEN needs
  • Confidence teaching within a KS2 Entry Pathways curriculum
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude as a dedicated PPA Teacher
