An exciting opportunity has arisen for a KS1 SEN Teacher to join our partner specialist school. Starting in February 2026, this full-time role focuses on delivering a highly adapted curriculum to young learners with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC) and developmental delays. We are looking for a teacher who understands that at the KS1 level, learning is about building confidence, communication, and core skills through play and structured support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foundational Learning mf: Plan and deliver engaging, sensory-based lessons that meet KS1 curriculum standards while remaining highly accessible for SEN pupils.
  • Early Intervention: Implement strategies that support early communication (such as PECS or Makaton) and social development.
  • Targeted Leadership: Manage a team of Teaching Assistիջ to provide high-quality 1:1 and small group support within the classroom.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor early developmental milestones and provide detailed feedback for EHCP reviews and parental updates.
  • SECURITY: Create a nurturing, low-arousal classroom that prioritizes the emotional well-being and safety of every child.
  • Collaboration: Partner with therapists and families to ensure a holistic approach to each student's early educational journey.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly preferred, however, unqualified teachers with extensive SEN experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience working with Key Stage 1 children or within an Early Years SEN setting.

  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, nurturing personality.
