Job summary

An educational support organization in Canterbury is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to children with Autism and ADHD. SEN TA - Canterbury

Are you an experienced SEN TA with a genuine passion for supporting children with Autism (ASC) and ADHD?

A welcoming and well-established SEN school in Canterbury is seeking a committed and proactive SEN TA to join their team and provide consistent, personalised support to pupils with additional needs.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that every child learns differently and thrives in a structured, patient and supportive environment.

The Role:
  • Support pupils with ASC and ADHD on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and accessible lessons

  • Use strategies to support attention, emotional regulation and engagement

  • Help create a calm, structured and predictable learning environment

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Support social, emotional and academic development throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience working with children with ASC and/or ADHD

  • Background in SEN education, care, youth work or psychology (desirable)

  • Patient, consistent and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education

Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
