Job summary

A specialist education recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant in Walsall to provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Key Stage 3/4 and a passion for helping disadvantaged pupils overcome challenges. This position is for the 2025/2026 academic year, with the opportunity for extension.

Qualifications

Overview

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: Per Day

Location: Walsall

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 8:30

Duration: 2025/2026 Academic Year

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils in the SEND resource base, including pupils with statements.
• Support pupil behaviour within a hugely supportive staff team to create the best possible environment and experience for these pupils.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally with Key Stage 3/4 experience.
• Passionate about supporting pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and helping them overcome challenges.

Contract Details

• Role: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
• Location: Secondary Academy, Midlands (near Birmingham), Walsall
• Duration: Through the end of the 2025/2026 academic year, with potential extension beyond.
• Start: As soon as possible
