Position: Science Teacher

Location: Redditch

Salary: >£44k

Role: Permanent, full time or part time candidates considered

Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Science Teacher in the Redditch area on a permanent basis. The position the Science Teacher will need a clear understanding of inclusive teaching as well as being able to address diverse needs within the class including children with SEND and Educational and Class Room trauma.

Key Responsibilities for the Science Teacher
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons from small groups to 1:1 groups
  • To be able to work with children in a home from home setting from key stages 2-5 as well as GCSE up to A Level
  • Assess and track progress, providing feedback to support their ongoing development
  • Have experience working with children and young people with anxiety, autism or sensory needs
  • Be able to provide most of the GCSE and A Level learning via online learning - some full curriculum delivery maybe required depending on the student
The Science Teacher Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent approach to classroom routines
  • Has the ability to make learning fun, engaging, and challenging for all learners
  • Brings fresh ideas and is eager to share and collaborate with colleagues
  • Values every member of the school community and contributes positively to a team culture
