Role Overview

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a SEN Science Class Teacher for a specialist SEN school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow Weald, Northwest London. The position is temporary and on‑going, covering until July 2026, with the possibility of extension or permanent opportunities.

Location & Schedule

Harrow Weald, Northwest London
Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract: Temporary, on‑going
Pay: According to your teaching scale

What We Are Looking For
  • A qualified Science teacher with experience in SEN or SEMH settings
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the ICT curriculum
  • Creative, hands‑on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and supporting disengaged students
Essential Requirements
  • QTS
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching SEN or SEMH students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Workforce registration on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references, ideally from an education setting
