At Napier School, part of Options Autism, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and shine. Our pupils may have autism and complex needs, but they also have incredible strengths, curiosity, and potential — and with the right support, they thrive.

We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and inspiring SEN Primary Teacher to join our warm and dedicated team. If you’re driven by the joy of helping children make progress — academically, socially, and emotionally — this could be your perfect role.

This isn’t just another teaching job. This is an opportunity to change lives, spark confidence, and celebrate every milestone.

About the Role

As an SEN Primary Teacher at Napier School, you’ll bring learning to life through creative, hands‑on, and personalised approaches. You’ll design lessons that meet each child exactly where they are — adapting, innovating, and celebrating small steps that lead to big breakthroughs.

You’ll work closely with our talented teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create a joined‑up, nurturing, and joyful learning environment where every pupil feels safe, supported, and ready to explore the world.

You Will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with autism and additional needs to develop academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Promote independence, communication, confidence, and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent, holistic support
  • Contribute positively to an inclusive, caring, and creativity‑driven school culture
About You

You are calm, adaptable, patient — and full of positivity. You see the whole child, not just their challenges. You believe in their potential and know how transformative the right teaching can be.

You’ll bring:

  • QTS and a relevant teaching degree
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • A warm, creative teaching approach
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Experience working with SEN or ASC pupils (desirable, not essential)

Whether you’re an experienced SEN practitioner or a talented teacher looking to step into a specialist setting for the first time, we’ll support, mentor, and champion you every step of the way.
