Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for an SEN Maths Subject Lead to join a specialist SEN School (PRU) in Harrow Weald, Northwest London.

Job Details:

  • Job Title: SEN Maths Subject Lead
  • Start Date: September 2025 (Immediate interviews)
  • Contract: Long-term, temp to perm
  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Location: Harrow Weald, Northwest London
  • Pay: According to your teaching scale + TLR for subject leadership
About the School

A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) that provides education for students aged 5 to 16 years who are unable to attend mainstream school. The centre supports a small cohort of approximately 35 to 36 pupils. It has been rated Good in all evaluated areas by Ofsted and offers a tailored, supportive environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners.

What Were Looking For
  • A qualified Teacher with experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and coordinate the Maths curriculum
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • A creative, hands-on approach to teaching practical subjects
  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting disengaged learners
Essential Requirements
  • QTS or QTLS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
