Qualifications

Job description

Are you ready for an exciting new opportunity. We are looking for qualified, passionate and dedicated English teachers to work in one of our Specialist SEN Secondary schools in the Salford area. You will play a vital role in supporting young people with moderate special educational needs including Autism and communication challenges, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils. Your role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering creative, accessible lessons in line with EHCPs
  • Supporting pupils with Autism and communication challenges
  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches
  • Working closely with support staff and families
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and reports

  • Experienced in SEN teaching, ideally within an education setting
  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient
  • Skilled in de-escalation and behaviour support strategies
  • A strong communicator with pupils, families, and colleagues

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Qualifications & Requirements
