Qualifications

• Candidates must have FGAS 2079 certification and be skilled in handling refrigerants.
• Completion of C&G/NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of various air conditioning units and components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and service undertaken.
• Respond to emergencies and assist the team in maintaining smooth operations.

Job description

My client is seeking a Semi Static AC Engineer with Data Centre experience who is happy to be based 3 days a week on a Static Site in Hounslow and mobile the other 2 days working in Car Show Rooms.

Experience with the following equipment is vital:

• Chilled water & DX units
• CRAC Units
• Dry Aired Coolers
• Chillers
• VRVs/VRFs
• Splits
• Mult splits
• Associated pumps (conventional heat pumps, big water pumps)

The Role

Monday - Friday / 08.30 - 17.30

You will be a Semi Static AC Engineer, based 3 days a week on a Data Centre (single man site) in Hounslow and 2 days a week mobile working mainly within Car Show Rooms (Audi, VW etc).

Your area of cover will be mainly West London, Central London and Surrounding Counties, (they don't have any sites East London & Essex).

Duties

Service and maintenance of mechanical plant and components as detailed within the asset registers of equipment and referenced on planned maintenance programmes which will be fundamental to the contract on a quarterly rotation basis.

• The maintenance of accurate written records for works carried out to plant on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly cycle.
• The maintenance of accurate service records and technical reporting for works carried out to plant and equipment where these items have either failed or required emergency service.

Expected general duties

• Maintain a high level of response and professionalism when dealing with customers on site.
• Ensure accurate recording, reporting and technical accountancy.
• Generally, assist in the smooth running of the sites and support fellow team members in achieving the overall responsiveness and spirit of the contract.
• Carry out work that might be required in order to support the team in an emergency.
