Job description

Shift Engineer – Semi-Skilled – Days - Manufacturing – Doncaster
up to £42,120 (Depending on Experience)

We’re on the hunt for a semi-skilled Shift Engineer to join a fast-paced, no-two-days-the-same food manufacturing site on the outskirts of Doncaster. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid engineering experience who's ready to roll up their sleeves, get stuck in, and keep things running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting site operations by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Taking ownership of your workload and tackling tasks from audits, PPMs, and work requests.
  • Ensuring machinery is safe, reliable, and meets production standards.
  • Working closely with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Keeping health, safety, and food safety at the core of everything you do.
What we’re looking for:
  • Engineering experience, ideally with both electrical and mechanical exposure.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical maintenance or repair.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food industry experience is a bonus, not a must).
  • Someone who’s organised, a good communicator, and thrives in a team.
Why apply?
  • Monday to Friday rota-based shifts (earlies/lates).
  • A supportive team, great training opportunities, and a role where you can make a real impact.
