Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of our specialist SEMH schools in the Wakefield (WF3) area. This rewarding role offers the chance to support students who face unique emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to build confidence, regulate their emotions, and engage positively in learning.
Our SEMH school in Wakefield is committed to providing a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environment that meets the individual needs of every student. We specialise in helping pupils with complex SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties, offering personalised interventions and trauma‑informed approaches. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a collaborative and passionate team dedicated to improving students' wellbeing and educational outcomes.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. All successful applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
