Job summary

An educational institution in North Somerset is seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher for a long-term contract starting ASAP. SEMH Teacher

M&M Supply are seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher, looking for your next challenge.

Our school is looking to employee a SEMH Teacher on a long term contract to begin ASAP.

The school is based in the North of Somerset, with children with EHCP's with the aim of levelling up educational outcomes.

The school focuses on creative arts, artisanship and agriculture along.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for students with SEMH diagnosis.
  • Assess individual learning needs and create personalized learning plans.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external specialists.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student learning and well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) guidelines.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEND teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, complex needs and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching methods and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for inclusive education.
