Location - East Lancashire (based in Burnley) and working from home. Flexible working hours. £20 per hour.

Job Opening: Ecologist

We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join our team as soon as possible. We expect you to be able to demonstrate your competency, proven track record, ability to work to deadlines and teamwork. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Details: This will be on a self-employed basis, for our successful candidate to have the flexibility to work from home and progress with a professional career. You will be provided with the required equipment and training.

As an Ecologist, your tasks would be predominantly surveying and report writing independently and in a supporting role to the ecology lead and project manager. Examples of tasks include:

  • Habitat and River Condition Assessments
  • Analysis, presentation and interpretation of ecological data
  • Bat emergence and Activity surveys
  • Report writing
  • Grant applications
Essential Requirements
  • A full, preferably clean, driving licence and access to a car
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Preferably one season or experience of ecological surveys, either through consultancy or volunteering.
