Job description

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff within the casino. This role plays a key part in protecting company assets, enforcing operational procedures, and supporting the overall customer experience. The Security Officer will act as a visible deterrent to potential risks, respond to incidents professionally, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure departmental procedures are followed through accurate checklist completion
  • Execute all assigned duties efficiently during each shift
  • Collaborate with Casino Managers and on-site security leadership during incidents
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of key security functions and protocols
  • Proactively identify, elevate and communicate potential risks
  • Maintain awareness and control in crowd management situations
  • Respond positively to direction and support from leadership
  • Attend and contribute to pre‑shift briefings
  • Work effectively as part of a cohesive team
  • Foster a communication style that promotes a positive and respectful work environment
  • Recognise and respond to potential risks in a timely manner
  • Focus on protecting staff, guests, company assets, and reputation
  • Support and adhere to Health & Safety procedures across the site
Skills and experience:
  • Holder of a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Security Officer
  • Strong understanding of compliance and security protocols
  • Knowledge of current SIA legislative requirements
  • Clear understanding of the importance and value of high customer service standards
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Articulate and confident communicator
  • Practical experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7 environment
  • Fully Flexible Must be willing and able to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holiday season, and adapt to changing schedules or duties as required by the casino.
