Job description
Job Description
  • Out-of-hours reception cover, providing a welcoming and secure presence
  • Internal foot patrols to ensure safety, security, and compliance
  • Monitoring access and maintaining accurate logs
  • Responding to incidents professionally and promptly

In this role, you will help protect the site by preventing unauthorised access, responding to alarms and CCTV activity, carrying out regular patrols, and reporting any issues or security concerns. You’ll follow company policies, manage keys and equipment responsibly, and record all incidents accurately. You will also support Health & Safety by promoting safe practices, reporting hazards, and providing First Aid if trained. Your duties include helping to prevent loss and crime by reporting theft or suspicious behaviour, completing investigations and written reports, and carrying out stop and search when required. Providing excellent customer service is essential—assisting staff and visitors professionally and maintaining a smart appearance. You will also complete daily tasks, accurate handovers, and support any additional duties or events as needed.

This role requires strong self‑management, good decision‑making, and clear communication. You should be committed to high‑quality work and able to build positive relationships through effective teamwork and networking.

Please note—the responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role. If you meet the minimum requirements and believe you’ve got what it takes to succeed, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Working towards or holding an SIA Licence.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Five‑year checkable employment history.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible with shifts (days/nights/weekends).
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (desirable but not essential).
  • Previous security experience.
  • First Aid qualification.
