Suppleo Education are proud to be working in partnership with a fantastic Secondary School who have an exciting opportunity for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support learners up to Key Stage 5, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and develop the academic, social, and transitional skills they need to thrive beyond school.

You will work closely with a highly skilled team of teachers, ALN specialists, and support staff, contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, social‑emotional difficulties, and moderate learning needs.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience supporting young people with ALN or a strong interest in developing this expertise.
  • An understanding of how to scaffold learning and build independence.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to form positive, professional relationships with students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically and personally.
