A specialist education recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Mathematics teacher to support an independent school in Paignton. The ideal candidate will deliver lessons to small groups of up to 4 students, primarily following the White Rose Mathematics curriculum. This is a temporary role starting after October Half Term, ideal for qualified or experienced secondary mathematics teachers, or confident primary teachers. Candidates must be prepared to complete an up-to-date DBS check.
Axcis Education are working closely to support an independent special school in Paignton who are looking for a full time Mathematics teacher from after October Half Term. The position is suitable for qualified and experienced secondary mathematics teachers, primary teachers with confidence in teaching mathematics, or unqualified mathematics specialists. Interviews are held on the week commencing the 16th June. The school is situated in Torbay and has approximately 26 students attend, all of whom have an EHCP to help meet their individual needs. The students have struggles with either their Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health. The most common barrier is an inability to consistently self regulate and communicate their feelings and emotions. The school offer a fantastic and varied provision, including an in-depth outdoor curriculum offer, 1:1 art therapy, physical education, PSHE, counseling services and learning in the core subjects and foundation subject areas. The school are in a position where they are looking for a practitioner to deliver Mathematics from after October Half Term. This will be leading class sizes of 2-4 students, who will have an experienced learning support assistant. The school predominantly follow the White Rose Mathematics curriculum, but alternative schemes of work can be used, too.
