Simply Education consistently needs a Cover Supervisor in the Wellingborough area. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising students in the absence of their teacher and supporting their learning and development. This role involves responding to daily, short-term, and long-term bookings within secondary schools in the Wellingborough area. Many bookings are arranged in advance; for example, we may contact you on a Friday to offer work on specific days for the following week.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise students in the absence of their teacher and support their learning and development.
  • Respond to daily, short-term, and long-term bookings within secondary schools in the Wellingborough area.
  • Deliver set lessons to class sizes of up to 30 students as required by the school.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A formal qualification such as a British Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree is essential; previous classroom experience is also considered.
  • You should be happy to undertake various days of cover within different schools throughout the week.
  • A passion for teaching and education; a creative approach to teaching; flexibility and adaptability; and excellent communication and lesson-delivery skills.
  • Possess ambition and drive to become an outstanding classroom practitioner; a hard work ethic.
  • All work will be set for you and the role entails delivering the set lessons to classes of up to 30.
  • All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS/CRB check; offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
