Your primary responsibilities will include supervising students in the absence of their teacher and supporting their learning and development. This role involves responding to daily, short-term, and long-term bookings within secondary schools in the Wellingborough area. Many bookings are arranged in advance; for example, we may contact you on a Friday to offer work on specific days for the following week.

• Deliver set lessons to class sizes of up to 30 students as required by the school.

Requirements & Qualifications

• You must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A formal qualification such as a British Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree is essential; previous classroom experience is also considered.
• You should be happy to undertake various days of cover within different schools throughout the week.
• A passion for teaching and education; a creative approach to teaching; flexibility and adaptability; and excellent communication and lesson-delivery skills.
• Possess ambition and drive to become an outstanding classroom practitioner; a hard work ethic.
• All work will be set for you and the role entails delivering the set lessons to classes of up to 30.
• All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS/CRB check; offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
