About the Role

A secondary school in Southampton is seeking a well-organised, motivated, and enthusiastic Cover Supervision Co-Ordinator to manage daily cover arrangements for staff absences. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and excellent administrative and IT capabilities. You will also occasionally supervise lessons, so a calm and professional manner and the ability to relate well to young people is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate daily cover for planned and unplanned staff absences
  • Liaise with supply agencies and deploy internal and external staff
  • Administer room changes and respond to cover needs throughout the day
  • Supervise lessons using provided plans, maintaining a positive learning environment
