Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in North East London is looking for an experienced Sonographer to join their Ultrasound Service. Responsibilities include supporting the Ultrasound Clinical Lead, maintaining high clinical standards, and performing a range of ultrasound examinations. Candidates must have HCPC registration, postgraduate qualifications in Medical Ultrasound, and a minimum of 900 reported scans in the last year. Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Ultrasound Clinical Lead in the organisation, supervision, and mentorship of junior and newly appointed staff
  • Delivering a consistently high standard of clinical practice in line with service and governance requirements
  • Ensuring all ultrasound examinations are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest professional standards
  • Performing and independently reporting a broad range of non-obstetric ultrasound examinations, including:
    • Abdominal
    • Scrotal
    • Renal
    • Gynaecology (Transvaginal and Transabdominal)
    • Musculoskeletal (MSK)
    • Vascular
