A toy retailer in North East England is looking for a night stock team member to handle deliveries, replenish stock, and maintain merchandising. The role requires the ability to work flexibly through the night and includes a nightshift premium pay. Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, and can maintain a safe working environment.
Why Us?
Christmas at The Entertainer, Gateshead in the Metro Centre Russel Way is like no other retailer - we\'re selling toys! At Christmas!
This position is ideally suited to someone who is not afraid of hard work and able to work through the night and into the morning in the lead up to Christmas. You will have a big responsibility to the children visiting our store to make sure their favourite toy is on display so they can add it to that all important Christmas list!
Rates of Pay:
Our stores will be open 7 days a week, so you will need to be able to support us at the weekends including Sundays.
Starting on a 20 hour contract you will learn the role before transitioning to night shift patterns, with hours per week up to 37.5. When on 37.5 hours per week you would typically start work at 10pm or 11pm at night and work through till the next morning. Having a flexible approach and a commitment to help the store operate, it is key for this role that you are able to work these hours.
Before you apply, please think about the following things:
"Working as part of the Night Stock team, we work behind the scenes, through the night doing the heavy lifting, to get the toys on the shelves! The customers don\'t see all the hard work we put in, breaking down pallets of deliveries and preparing stock to be taken out to the shop floor or stored in the stockroom. We\'re only a small team, and the time goes fast, but we get it all done when we work together... and having music on helps too! We price stock, we might sometimes change window displays and we most importantly, make sure the shelves are full ready for the next day of busy trade. I quite like being able to go home in the morning, and say hi to my family before they go off to work, and then get into bed to catch up on some sleep... ready for the next shift!"
