Overview

Scientist – IVD Development. Location – North East (On-site position). Sector – Diagnostics. Salary - £35,000-£37,000. Our client is a global leader in health diagnostic tools and services, specialising in providing easy-to-use diagnostics to improve patients’ lives. Due to company expansion, they are seeking an experienced Scientist to join the company to support projects facilitating In-Vitro Diagnostics Development. The role: Working as part of a small investigations team, you will be responsible for supporting projects around technical support for product improvement and development. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with other teams to ensure project delivery.

Core responsibilities
  • Support projects for the ongoing product development, product release and advancement of IVD tools.
  • Use technical experience in IVD development to solve complex problems and provide optimisation and corrective actions.
  • Maintain market awareness to utilise scientific data to improve immunohistochemical products.
Suitable applicants

This role is an interactive role and requires cross-departmental collaboration and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment. As such, an on-site presence is required for this position.

Technical requirements
  • Strong working experience with IVD development, ideally FISH or ISH immunohistochemical assays
  • Strong knowledge of assay development
  • Industry experience in supporting research projects and delivering results
  • Familiarity with Recombinant Protein manufacture, Hybridoma growth and Cell Culture would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving approach to challenges
