Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong science background.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing, setting up, and clearing away laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
  • Ensuring all experiments and demonstrations are carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and organising scientific apparatus and laboratory equipment.
  • Ordering and managing stock of chemicals and materials.
  • Assisting teachers during practical lessons when required.
  • Supporting students with their learning in practical sessions.
Requirements
  • A science-related qualification or relevant experience working in a laboratory or school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures in a laboratory environment.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Prospero Teaching).
