Seeking a compassionate and skilled Science Teacher to make a significant impact!

Randstad Education is looking for a full-time, long-term SEN Science Teacher at a dedicated school in Sefton. This is your chance to use your expertise to help students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering engaging science instruction and providing crucial support. Your key duties will include:

  • Adapting the science curriculum to meet diverse student needs.
  • Creating captivating lessons with hands-on experiments and visual aids.
  • Integrating objectives from student\'s Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) into daily teaching.
  • Offering academic and emotional support to boost student well-being and confidence.
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers, support staff, and parents.
  • Maintaining precise records of student progress.
  • Helping to improve the school\'s science department.
Candidate Profile

We\'re looking for someone with at least six months of experience teaching SEN students in UK schools. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant science degree.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to apply for one).
  • Proven expertise in classroom and behaviour management.
  • A strong passion for creating inclusive learning environments and promoting an interest in STEM.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
