Role Overview
  • Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
  • Location: Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex
  • Pay Rate: £140 - £170 per day (Dependent on experience)
  • Contract: Full-Time / Temporary (with long-term potential)
  • Start Date: January 2026 / Immediate
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons that spark curiosity.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations through high-quality instruction and support.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with a supportive Science department to develop innovative lesson plans.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related).
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level (KS3/KS4).
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A genuine passion for STEM education and student development.
