Role Purpose

You will deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated Science curriculum that engages students of varying ages and abilities. You will create a positive learning environment that enables every student to reach their full academic potential, while closely monitoring and supporting their progress and development. You will play an active role in raising standards of attainment and helping to close gaps between different groups of learners. Alongside your teaching, you will also contribute to students' wider personal development and growth, supporting them both academically and pastorally as their teacher and tutor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, resources and contribute to evolving the Science curriculum.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress, attainment, attendance and development in line with school policies.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, appearance, punctuality, organisation and homework expectations.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports both enjoyment and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies where needed to support student success.
  • Participate in enrichment, extracurricular activities, trips, events and wider school life that enrich student learning and personal growth.
  • Support students' personal development and pastoral wellbeing alongside their academic growth.

  • Skilled in differentiating for a range of student abilities and helping all to succeed.
  • Committed to inclusion, equity, and supporting every student as an individual.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative staff community that values continuous development.
  • Ready to commit to student-centred education, supporting academic and personal growth.
  • Eager to contribute beyond lessons - including clubs, extracurriculars, trips, pastoral support and enrichment initiatives.
What's on Offer
  • Competitive pay (M1-M6), offering transparent scale and progression.
  • Permanent full-time contract starting January 2026.
  • A supportive, evidence-informed environment with opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
  • Access to a broad curriculum structure that balances academic challenge with pastoral care and personal development.
  • A meaningful role where your work has real impact - academically and socially - on students' lives and futures.
