Science Teacher Required

Salary/Rate: £120 - £200 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to work in a secondary school in Wigan. The school caters for pupils with moderate learning difficulties. This full-time role starts in September for the new academic year. The successful candidate will join a friendly, lively, and vibrant school with small class sizes.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Assess and mark students\' work promptly and constructively
  • Manage and maintain effective classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils with moderate learning difficulties
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Science curriculum
  • Support school policies and procedures related to safeguarding and pupil welfare
  • Provide general cover duties as required
Candidate Requirements
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., BA Hons)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or UK residency
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a Science teaching role
  • Experience teaching both theory and practical Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Strong behaviour management skills and adherence to school policies
  • Two references from the last 2 years related to working with children
  • Hold a current DBS registered with the update service, or be willing to apply for one
