Science Teacher

Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: 130 - 170 per day

Yorkshire Education are currently recruiting for Science Teacher to work at a Client School located in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Teacher of Science Responsibilities
  • Deliver Maths lessons to a range of abilities in line with curriculum.
  • Maintain organised learning resources.
  • Support the progress of all students by taking an active role in departmental support.
  • Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining peace, motivation and challenge.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Use creative teaching methods to engage students in lessons.
Teacher of Maths Requirements
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Degree.
  • Ability to work well within a team and share best practice across the school.
  • Have a committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
  • Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with Yorkshire Education Recruitment.
