Science Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | Wembley | ASAP Start

Are you a recent Science graduate with a passion for education and a desire to support students in a dynamic secondary school environment? Are you considering a future career in teaching or science education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high-achieving and supportive secondary school in Wembley that is seeking a dedicated Science Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term role working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the potential to become permanent. This opportunity is ideal for graduates with a background in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics who are keen to inspire the next generation of scientists while gaining hands-on experience in the classroom.

About the Role
  • Support students in Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-Level.
  • Work closely with the Science teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups who need help with understanding scientific concepts.
  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources.
  • Help maintain a safe and organised learning environment.
  • Support practical experiments, ensuring students follow health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
  • A recent Science graduate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a related field).
  • A strong interest in education and supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, positive, and patient approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
