Science Academic Mentor - North West London

We are recruiting a Science Academic Mentor for a high‑performing secondary school in North West London, offering an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and considering teacher training as a future career. This role is ideal for candidates who want to gain hands‑on classroom experience while supporting pupils to achieve strong outcomes at GCSE level.

As a Science Academic Mentor you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions and raise student attainment. You will support students across Key Stage 4 through one‑to‑one tuition, small group work, and in‑class academic support. The successful candidate will join a supportive and ambitious school team where development and progression are actively encouraged.

This opportunity would suit a motivated graduate with strong communication skills, a solid academic background, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people in their learning journey.

Essential Criteria
  • Experience tutoring students at KS4 (Science)
  • Currently working within the education sector (school‑based role, tutoring, mentoring, or similar)
  • Confident supporting students academically and pastorally
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
Working Hours

7:50am - 4:10pm (7.5 hours per day, including a 50‑minute lunch break)

Working Pattern

3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
