The ideal candidate should hold a relevant degree and possess strong communication skills. Science Academic Coach

*** £81 - £101 per day
*** ‘Good’ secondary school, Wolverhampton
*** 1:1 and small group academic support across Science in KS3 & KS4

The Role:

Work with the science department to close gaps in biology, chemistry and physics. Lead short intervention groups, provide 1:1 tutoring, support revision and practical write-ups, and reinforce exam technique. Prepare concise resources, log impact, and share clear next steps with teachers.

The Candidate:

You hold a science-related degree, explain concepts clearly, and keep sessions purposeful. You’re organised, calm under pressure, and motivated to progress towards teacher training.

Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
