Job description

Job Opportunity: Sports Coaches / Graduates in Teesside

The Education Network is a leading supply teaching agency currently recruiting Sports Coaches / Graduates for various schools in Teesside.

Due to high demand, we aim to expand our pool of available Sports Coaches/Graduates to work in secondary schools on both a daily and long-term basis.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in different schools, gaining valuable teaching experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 6 months experience working with students aged 11-18
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about education
  • Possess at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Typical Responsibilities
  1. Supervise classes in the absence of the permanent teacher, including introducing and closing the lesson, following instructions set by senior staff.
  2. Complete class registers to ensure all students are present.
  3. Maintain constructive classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
  4. Demonstrate enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, confidence, and independence.
  5. Assist students with questions and ensure they stay on task.
  6. Follow lesson plans and collect completed work and resources.
  7. Adhere to school policies and procedures, and handle emergencies effectively.
  8. Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding student progress and behavior.
