Overview
St Peter's is looking for an enthusiastic part-time School First Aider to join our friendly team, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time with up to two days in the summer holidays. St Peter's is a successful secondary school and Sixth Form set in attractive grounds on the outskirts of Guildford. This role will be student focused, primarily responsible for dealing with students in need of medical care during the school day. When quiet, the First Aider will also support reception dealing with enquiries from students, staff and visitors both on the telephone and face-to-face.
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and medical care to students during the school day.
- Support reception with enquiries from students, staff and visitors (telephone and in person) during quiet times.
Qualifications and Skills
- First aid qualified or willing to take a first aid qualification course.
- Able to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident, organised, proactive and able to prioritise time and workload while managing interruptions.
- A team player with a sense of humour, compassion and assertiveness.
- Experience in working with children.

Salary and Hours
- Surrey Pay Scale PS4 – £25,052 to £26,825 FTE
- Monday to Friday, core hours 9:30am to 2:30pm; 25 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year, plus up to two days in the summer holidays which is paid as overtime).
- Actual salary – £14,967 to £16,026
