Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join a welcoming Primary School in the SK4 area of Stockport. This full-time, long-term role will begin in September 2025 and offers the opportunity to become an essential part of the school community.

Role Details:

• Start Date: September 2025

• Location: SK4 area, Stockport

• Hours: Monday to Friday (full-time)

• Contract: Long-term

• Type: Primary School

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the school site each day

• General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the school grounds and facilities

• Ensuring the school is clean, safe, and well-presented

• Carrying out basic plumbing, joinery, and painting tasks as required

• Monitoring and ordering cleaning/maintenance supplies

• Assisting with setting up for school events

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a caretaker (preferably in a school environment)

• Strong practical skills for minor repairs and maintenance

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude

• A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
