Job summary

A leading energy company in the UK is seeking an Operational Telecoms Project Engineer to oversee SCADA projects and manage telecoms systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high safety standards while supporting the integration of innovative SMART Grid technologies. With a strong background in SCADA and relevant engineering qualifications, you'll play a key role in maintaining reliable infrastructure and improving energy systems across the networks. This role offers a salary of £80,574 per annum with additional benefits including a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Membership of a professional body such as the IET or working towards it.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHV / HV switchgear and substation apparatus.
  • Experience of SMART grid projects including low carbon technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver SCADA projects, fault rectification, and maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure high standard of safety management is maintained.
  • Support design and integration for SMART Grid projects.
  • Communicate with suppliers on new products and issue resolutions.

Skills

Knowledge of Networks SCADA
Experience with CDM regulations
Ability to train others
Knowledge of IP protocols

HND / HNC in relevant engineering discipline
