About the role

The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is critical to the safe, secure, and economic operation of the England and Wales electricity transmission system.

Are you ready to take the lead in transforming our SCADA solutions? As the SCADA Change Manager, you’ll lead the Change team, managing the implementation of ET SCADA solution changes and taking full ownership of the overall change plan.

In this pivotal role, you will assess work packs and serve as the primary liaison with various project, connections, and Platform teams, as well as Asset operations and all interfaced system owners.

Your leadership will drive innovation and development within the SCADA value chain, ensuring system availability across all environments. You will manage the plan for SCADA application configuration and testing, making a significant impact on our operations.

This role is based at our office in Warwick and can be combined with hybrid working from home.

Summary of Additional Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the initial change pack validations and planning.
  • Oversee 3rd Party Liaison with project teams, suppliers and vendors for meeting ET policy and procedure compliance.
  • Deliver Training for internal and external users of the ET SCADA solution in conjunction with internal training teams.
  • Manage the Release Management Plan.
  • Manage the ET SCADA Training team, ensuring development and authorisation of the team and end users.
What you'll need

An effective people manager, with a background in project and change management, you’ll have a STEM qualification at degree level, as well as a Project management qualification.

With strong stakeholder management skills, you’ll have experience of SCADA and RTU databases, displays and network modelling projects.

A working knowledge of cyber security risks, CNI systems and NIS Regulations, as well as a technical understanding of the electricity industry would be beneficial and you’ll also have experience of system & data handling, including testing in staging and production environments.
