Cloud Engineer

Location: Poole
Working Model: 4 days per week on-site
Clearance: Minimum SC cleared, DV eligible and willing
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Cloud Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join a highly collaborative and autonomous engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying secure cloud infrastructure using IaC and modern automation tooling. This is a chance to contribute to impactful and technically complex projects while influencing future technology direction.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and maintaining secure infrastructure, applications, and devices using industry best practices
  • Ensuring deployment, performance, and availability of cloud services
  • Building resilient and highly available cloud environments using Terraform
  • Deploying applications with Ansible
  • Collaborating with internal teams and customers to propose innovative solutions
  • Evaluating new technologies and tooling to drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Strong hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code - particularly Terraform
  • Skilled in Ansible for configuration automation
  • Strong networking knowledge
  • Understanding of secure-by-design principles
  • Experience deploying open-source tools
