Join us in a varied role at the heart of Nationwide’s Finance function, where your work will directly influence how we manage Treasury Risks and Financial Reporting. You will be working on the regulatory reporting and implementation of models covering Treasury Risks and Financial Reporting. As a SAS Developer -Treasury Consultant, you’ll be a key player in building robust systems and reporting tools that support strategic decision-making across the business. From regulatory reporting to software migration and data governance, your work will help shape the future of our financial landscape. The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or London office. What you’ll be doing

You will be leading the development and enhancement of Finance reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, resilience, and efficiency while acting as a technical lead on high-impact projects, using your SAS expertise to deliver smart, scalable solutions.

While collaborating across Finance and Treasury teams to support business growth and transformation, you will work in an Agile environment, contributing to both project and BAU initiatives gaining visibility across the business, with insights into both customer and funding operations.

About you

You’re someone who is keen to apply their programming skills in a financial environment and likes to get a deep understanding of a problem and come up with creative but practical solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

As a minimum requirement, you will have:

A background in a numerical or logical field (e.g., Finance, Mathematics, Engineering)

Strong SAS programming skills (Base SAS, Enterprise Guide and DI Studio)

Familiarity with ETL processes and tools like SQL, VBA, Python, or Qlik

Experience working with large, complex datasets

Familiarity with either financial or regulatory reporting

Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex ideas clearly and simply, engaging stakeholders across the business

A proactive mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

Experience delivering change in a reporting or Agile environment
