Field laboratory technician

Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a global environmental testing laboratory based in Coventry. This person will be responsible for collecting environmental samples from different locations of the UK and transporting them back to the Coventry site, conducting sample analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting environmental sampling and monitoring activities across the UK, supporting our diverse customer base from private households to landfill sites.
• Collecting water dust samples for testing.
• Conduct field testing using various testing methods such as temperature checking and PH analysis.
• Accurately record field data in line with quality standards.
• Transport samples safely to the laboratory while maintaining temperature control requirements.
• Follow safety procedures while driving during travel.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license is essential (company van will be provided).
• Comfortable in driving and has previous experience in a driving role.
• Full training will be provided, no scientific background required.
• Capacity to follow strict regulations and attention to detail is essential.
• Previous experience as a field laboratory technician is desired.
• Excellent communication and written skills.

Note: Working hours are Monday to Friday 8‑4 PM but can be flexible due to the nature of the role. Overtime will be paid if you work outside of 08 hours a day period. Company van will also be provided.
