Renewable Energy (PPAs)

Location: UK-wide (field-based/remote) | Earnings: Commission-only | Realistic OTE £80,000-£120,000+

About the Opportunity

Trafalgar Talent Ltd is acting on behalf of a fast-growing renewable energy company that’s disrupting the commercial solar space with a UK-first PPA model. We help UK businesses slash energy bills and improve EPC ratings by installing fully funded solar systems, battery storage, and EV charging solutions with no upfront cost to the customer.

The Role

This is not your typical sales job. It’s commission-only: no salary, no safety net. But if you’ve got the hunger, the resilience, and the ability to self-generate business, the rewards are life-changing.

You will be responsible for identifying and closing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), a model where businesses pay only for the energy they use at a fixed, affordable rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospecting and cold calling SMEs, industrial estates, and commercial premises
• Door-to-door canvassing, networking, and outbound campaigns
• Building and managing your own pipeline across the UK
• Taking deals from first contact through to signed PPA agreements
• Representing a market-unique renewable energy solution to decision-makers

What We’re Looking For

This role is for fearless hunters, not order-takers. You don’t need solar experience; we’ll provide training, but you must prove you can generate and close B2B business.

Essential

• Proven track record in field-based B2B sales
• Strong cold calling and new business development skills
• Experience generating your own leads and managing a territory
• Confident communicator with the ability to open doors and build credibility quickly
• Results-driven, resilient, and entrepreneurial, thriving on uncapped earnings

Desirable

• Experience in telecoms, utilities, financial services, or other consultative sales
• Knowledge of renewable energy or PPAs
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
