Basic Salary £60K to £80K Plus Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest insurance intermediaries operating within the UK today, and who also have a Global presence.

They are seeking a Sales Manager to cover their regional offices in and around Shropshire & the East Midlands regions, and to work closely with the client facing executives within these operations.

They pride themselves on building relationships with their client base across the UK with additional industry know-how, technical expertise and all-round clout. They are able to bring you all of the benefits of a large national insurance broking business, without compromising on local service.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for a team of account executives with the day to management of implementing the company sales strategy within the various branches. Working closing with the Sales Director, you will be solely responsible for:-

  • Assessing branch sales targets, and ensuring individuals and branches are achieving
  • Mentoring the executives
  • Getting the best out of the insurer markets and liaising with senior insurer professionals
  • Assisting with sales and technical advice/issues
  • Helping and supporting any areas of weaknesses
  • Attending client visits with the executives, and leading by example
  • 1-2-1 coaching
  • Ensure the executives are maximising every opportunity in developing the companies income streams in respect of new business sales and service to their client portfolios

Please note there would be no direct reports within this role, or general manging responsibilities.

In addition to this, it would be beneficial if the successful candidate could generate some of their own income, either from previous client connections or from commercial business leads approached once in situ from a cold start.
