About the Role

This family owned builders merchants is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead sales activity at our Kilburn branch. You will focus on delivering sales growth, expanding market share, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring our branch delivers an outstanding level of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth and profitability by achieving targets, maximising margin and developing new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the branch team, creating a positive, high-performing, and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards, always maintaining a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Manage day-to-day branch activity alongside the Branch Operations Manager, including service standards, housekeeping, product accessibility, and overall customer experience.
  • Oversee stock levels and supply chain processes to ensure accurate inventory, product availability, and efficient procurement.
  • Support marketing and product activity by communicating promotions, product updates, and coordinating supplier-led training.
  • Analyse sales and branch performance, producing reports and using data, customer feedback, and market insight to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven sales experience within a builders merchant environment (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant products and services.
  • Understanding of the local market and competitor landscape.
