Role Purpose

The Engineering Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities in powder processing systems with blue chip companies.

This role bridges technical engineering knowledge with commercial acumen, ensuring clients receive optimal solutions tailored to their process requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Sales
  • Client & Project Management
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target sectors (food, chemical, pharma, environmental, building materials).
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal engineering teams.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle from enquiry to contract negotiation and handover.
  • Technical Expertise - understand and communicate the technical aspects of pneumatic conveying, dosing, mixing and integrated powder handling systems.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to design solutions that meet customer specifications.
  • Provide technical input during project scoping, costing, and feasibility studies.
Candidate Profile
  • Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience in this sector).
  • Proven track record in technical sales, business development or sales management within bulk materials handling and powder processing technology.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering workflows and able to translate technical concepts into customer-focused solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Positive attitude, customer focused and pro-active.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel regionally/internationally to meet clients and attend trade shows.
