Overview

Are you a Sales Engineer looking to grow your career with a market leading company providing temperature monitoring solutions to a wide range of sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Food? Based in the UK you will have occasional travel (up to 3 months a year, usually 2 weeks per trip to the US).

  • BASIC SALARY: £50,000 to £60,000
  • BENEFITS: OTE: £5,000 expected, uncapped and paid quarterly
  • LOCATION: East Midlands / East Anglia
  • COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Cambridge, Peterborough, Northampton, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Lincoln, Nottingham, Leicester

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, International Sales - Temperature Monitoring

Responsibilities
  • As our Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving business growth to agreed targets, working with existing representatives while also developing new business opportunities.
  • Receive comprehensive product training across our range (AOV circa £20,000) to confidently demonstrate, sell and support our industrial solutions.
  • Visit customers, support representatives and handle direct sales.
  • Deliver technical product demonstrations and run trials at customer sites.
  • Establish, manage and grow key account relationships.
  • Provide installation support, on-site training and ongoing technical assistance.
  • Identify customer requirements and offer the best solutions through a consultative sales approach.
  • Generate leads and develop new routes to market to complement the existing structure and increase brand awareness.
Person Specification / Qualifications
  • Driven and progressive Sales Engineer, ideally with experience in the automotive, aerospace or food sectors, with a proven track record of success and interest in international opportunities (direct and via local representatives).
  • Engineering background (degree, apprenticeship or hands-on technical experience).
  • B2B technical sales experience (capital equipment, components, services, etc.).
  • Knowledge of temperature monitoring solutions is advantageous.
  • Enjoys solving customer problems and building long-term relationships.
  • Open to international sales, or looking to develop a career in this direction.
