Role: Sales Engineer

Location: South Wales / South West England

Contract type: Full time permanent

Carrier HVAC now has an opportunity for a Sales Engineer based ideally in the South Wales / South West England. You will form part of our Applied sales team and the main goal of this role is to develop new business and grow sales.

What will I be doing as a Sales Engineer
  • Develop sales in South Wales and South West England for the Carrier range of HVAC equipment.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and grow the sales of finished goods as well as related services.
  • Grow the Carrier business by implementing a strategy to gain sales through the M&E contractor & Distributor route and specification through the consultant main Contractors and end user clients.
  • Conduct joint sales calls when necessary with direct sales team to assist in development of our vertical target markets.
  • Ensuring regular customer contact travel will be required.
  • Reporting & Administration.
  • Work in conjunction with the current direct sales teams to gain market share and presence within the allocated sales region.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC industry in particular hydronic chilled water and heating applications.
  • Strong sales background in HVAC dealing with associated installing contractors M&Es and / or specification consultants.
  • Experience of managing your own time and customers setting targets and monitoring progress.
  • Presentation skills and ability to conduct meetings.
  • Competitor knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • IT Literate with MS Office skills.
