Job Description
- Act as the primary point of contact for multiple branded suppliers seeking to enter or expand within the UK food market.
- Develop and execute tailored business development strategies for each supplier, focusing on both branded and private label food products.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for new product launches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including major retailers, wholesalers, and independent stores.
- Present product ranges to key decision makers, negotiate terms, and secure listings in relevant sales channels.
- Coordinate internal resources and external partners to ensure successful project delivery from concept to shelf.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to suppliers, offering market insights and recommendations
The Successful Applicant
A successful Channel Sales Manager should have:
- Proven track record in sales roles within the food industry, with demonstrable experience in branded and private label product development and sales
- Experience in confectionery or chocolate sectors is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK retail landscape
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple supplier projects simultaneously
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with diverse brands and market segments
- Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team environment
