A leading specialist trade merchant in Stafford is seeking a Sales Advisor to serve customers, handle inquiries, and maintain warehouse standards. The ideal candidate should have sales experience, a full UK driving licence, and a background in Plumbing & Heating is desirable. This full-time role offers a salary of £25,652 plus bonuses and various benefits, working 40 hours a week with occasional Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers on the trade counter with product recommendations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone & email promptly.
  • Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards in the warehouse.
  • Book stock in and put it away in designated locations.
  • Pick and pack customer orders with accuracy.
  • Deliver goods in a 7.5T van to the local area.

Responsibilities
  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

  • Working within the warehouse maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets) Loading and unloading the van

  • Booking stock in and putting it away in the designated location

  • Picking and packing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency

  • Delivering goods in our 7.5T van, making multiple deliveries to the surrounding area.

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08.00am - 5.00pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in the Plumbing & Heating Industry is ideal

  • A full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential

  • Prior customer service and sales experience with the ability to engage with the customer to deliver outstanding service

  • To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch

  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic

  • Strong computer skills
