Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant for our Derby branch. This full-time role (40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri with Saturday on rota) involves serving customers, giving product advice, and processing inquiries by phone and email.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Derby branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between - and Saturday mornings on a rota basis -
